Description
African Black Soap is a traditional West African cleansing soap handmade in Ghana using shea butter, palm oil, coconut oil and cocoa pod ash. Its simple plant-based formulation produces a rich cleansing lather for everyday hand and body care.
Traditional African Black Soap gets its characteristic appearance from the ash used during soapmaking. As a handmade product, each bar can vary naturally in colour and texture, ranging from lighter earthy browns to darker, mottled areas.

Key Ingredients
Shea Butter – provides naturally occurring fatty acids and is widely used in skincare and soap formulations for its conditioning properties.
Coconut Oil – helps produce the cleansing action and lather of the soap.
Palm Oil – contributes to the structure of the bar and creates a stable lather.
Cocoa Pod Ash – provides the traditional alkaline component used in the production of African Black Soap and contributes to its distinctive colour and texture.
How to Use
Wet the soap and work a small amount between wet hands to create a lather. Apply the lather to the hands or body, then rinse thoroughly.
African Black Soap can feel drying on some skin types, particularly dry or sensitive skin. Start with occasional use if you are new to black soap and follow with a moisturiser if your skin feels dry or tight. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Keep the bar dry between uses to help prolong its life.
