Jackfruit is a healthy tropical fruit rich in resistant starch and has a meat-like, pulled-pork texture with a subtle flavour, lending itself to be seasoned easily to serve as a vegan barbecue meat alternative. In a savoury, sweet and tangy sauce with a smoky taste, these Jackfruit chunks of plant-based goodness are great alternatives to meat and seafood barbecues. Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegan, Soy-free, and Egg-free, it does not trigger an inflammatory response within the body. Free of preservatives.

Uses

Easy for vegan barbecues! Makes a great sandwich, perfect in a salad, wrap, pizza or over warm rice. This Jackfruit is ready-to-eat but tastes more delicious when heated. Simply place the contents in a pan over medium heat with a bit of oil ( optional) and cook for 5 to 10 minutes until heated thoroughly.

Young Green Jackfruit 55%, tomato, cane sugar, garlic, shallot, sea salt, thickener, ginger, pepper, mustard powder, barbecue flavor (0.01%), paprika. Made in Thailand.

Storage

Keep in the pantry, away from sunlight and dampness. Refrigerate and use within 5 days of opening.
