Description
Natural Sri Lanka is blessed with a plethora of natural aromatic ingredients; flowers like the red Frangipani (a.k.a Araliya), red Jasmine and rose, herbs like citronella, and native spices like Ceylon Cinnamon. These aromas can de-stress, relax, relieve, revive and rejuvenate. This product is made by Chami, his young family and his neighbors. They began an incense-making project in their backyard when they all lost their jobs in the tourism industry when COVID pandemic hit Sri Lanka in 2020. To show our support for their initiative and ingenuity in starting this project, we sell this product at very minimal cost, enough to cover the expense of buying and importing the product only. 100+ years of expertise Our sales supports the traditional livelihoods of villagers in rural Sri Lanka. Chami and his neighbors persevered in a time when they lost their hospitality jobs and set about creating a product that would help others rejuvenate from the stresses of a global pandemic! A positive spin to a dire circumstance. Sri Lankan herbs, spices are harvested by traditional methods to retain its natural potency and flavor with the knowledge and expertise of multigenerational millers. This traditional production allows village populations to utilize their age-old knowledge and expertise to survive in this modernized and mechanized world of manufacturing by producing ingredients to make this 100% natural product.Sellling this beautiful product gives us a sense of pride and community. Kudos to the villagers who are using age-old knowledge, treading lightly, and making a living for their families, sustainably.
Price for quality Our products are not mass-produced in vast industrialised factories. So we do not enjoy the economies of scale that supermarket brands do. We pay the millers and farmers a fair price. Kokonati, Heirloom & Earthlady products are made with multigenerational expertise and knowledge to be the best quality they can be. If you feel the price is a premium, it is because of the premium quality you get.
Loyalty Just as we are fiercely loyal to the millers and families we work with, we also want to reward you, for your loyalty. So every time you purchase an Heirloom product you also collect rewards points that can be redeemed for a discount at checkout. Remember to sign up for the reward points (the tab on the far mid-right edge of this screen).
