Description

Versatile Kokonati organic creamed coconut butter is a great alternative to dairy butter. 100% organic freshly grated and dried, coconut meat is finely ground in its own oil and spray dried with rice flour dextrin to make the normally solid butter into a stirable easily soluble powder format.

Uses Easily add creamed coconut powder to cold smoothies, no more chunks of hard coconut to dig out! Simply dissolve in warm or hot water to the required consistency for cooking, great for baking cookies, cakes, energy balls and slices. Adds a lush tropical flavour to sauces, curries and soups. Use in place of other dairy creamers in beverages like coffee, bulletproof coffee, hot chocolate and even porridge.

Flavor Crunchy and creamy when reconstituted in warm water. Melts in the mouth and easily spreads when dissolved to a thick consistency with little amounts of warm water until required spreadable consistency is reaached.!
Ingredient 76% creamed coconut, 23.95% rice-flour dextrin, 0.05% Sodium Caseinate. In a perfect world, it will be possible to spray dry organic coconut butter all by itself. In the real world, however, the butter needs a solid particle to latch onto when it is spray-dried, this is why organic rice flour dextrose is used. A minute quantity (0.05%) of caseinate ensures this high-good-fat powder does not become one hard lump and lets it remain in a scoopable format for its lifetime. No other preservatives or additives are used.

Storage Keep airtight in the pantry, away from sunlight and damp. With a best before of two years from the manufacture date, coconut butter powder remains safe to use for even longer periods as long as it is stored with minimal exposure to light, air and moisture. This is why Kokonati products are packed at the origin, in the very plantations the coconuts are harvested from.

Our promise There is nothing else. No hydrogenation. No refining. No trans fats. This product supports the traditional livelihoods of villagers in the rural coconut triangle of Sri Lanka. Kokonati products are 100% zero-waste, all bi-products and waste materials are utilized in the manufacture of other nature-friendly products. See how. Our product is internationally accredited by Control Union; Certified Organic (EU and USDA NOP), ISO and/or HACCP certified.

Benefits A coconut has more naturally occurring minerals and phytonutrients than any other seed or nut used for extracting oil. This is simply the reason why coconut oil has many advantages over other oil sources. Comprised of medium-chain fatty acids and natural fibre of the coconut meat, coconut butter is an indulgent and satisfying functional superfood. Naturally rich in Lauric acid and nutritional benefits, coconut products also have healing properties that support health and general well-being.

  • Rich in plant-based good fats that are metabolised into energy instead of being stored as fat.
  • Support weight goals by promoting healthy metabolism and increasing satiety (reduced hunger pangs)
  • Lauric acid boosts immunity
  • Instantly boosts energy levels  and enhances athletic performance
  • Supports thyroid function
  • Supports healthy skin and hair growth
  • Increases cell regeneration
  • Promotes anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity
  • Improves insulin secretion
  • Protects the body from disease

100+ years of coconut expertise Our Coconut butter is made by a third-generation coconut miller third who has perfected the art of drying coconut without using intensive heat. So the natural antioxidants and nutrients are locked in and the quality of the coconut butter is the best it can be, with generations of knowledge guiding every step of the process. Backed by coconut expertise, and certified with ISO and Organic standards, the mill plays a vital role in the employment, welfare and wellbeing of the village community. The children of our workforce are provided with school books and stationery for the entire school year! Staff quarters are also provided for those who travel far from home. What’s more, we even grow our own organic vegetables onsite so the factory kitchen can provide a wholesome healthy lunch buffet for all at work.

Price for quality Our products are not mass-produced in vast industrialised factories. So we do not enjoy the economies of scale that supermarket brands do. We pay the millers and farmers a fair price. Specifically, batch-crafted for New Zealand, Kokonati products are made with multigenerational expertise and knowledge to be the best quality they can be and so easily justify the premium price for the premium quality you are getting.

Loyalty Just as we are fiercely loyal to the millers and families we work with, we also want to reward you, our customer loyalty. So every time you purchase a Kokonati product you also collect rewards points that can be redeemed for a discount at checkout. Remember to sign up for the reward points (the tab on the far mid-right edge of this screen).

Needs a resealable bag, bit awkward unless tip into another container

Thanks, Stephanie. Great suggestion. Will assess the options available for finding a resealable aluminium pack. Milk powders need those particular specs to ensure storing airtightness is optimum if it is resealable. Meantime do pack the powder after opening into an airtight container.
