Description

Nutrient-Dense & Versatile Low-calorie shiitake mushrooms are rich in a variety of vitamins, minerals and health-promoting compounds. Shiitake can be consumed as food or in supplement form.

Uses Use it to add vegan, fibrous and nutritious meaty flavor to foods. Soak the dried mushroom in hot water or hot stock to rehydrate. A tabsp of miso paste or dark soy sauce or amino glaze will also hydrate the mushrooms with more flavor. Some ideas to incorporate shiitake mushroom daily:

      • Cook with filling for savoury baked goods like pies, quiche, frittata and tarts.
      • Lightly fry a teaspoon of finely chopped dried shiitake mushroom in a little coconut oil or butter then stir through cooked rice, pasta, or noodles.
      • Stir into stews, stir-fries, soups, and curry
      • Add to dumpling filling
      • Make hot tea

shitake rooms without any flavour whatsoever. Very disappointed.
